Institutional debt is debt owed by students directly to an institution of higher education that arises because of unpaid tuition or other financial obligations—and it comes with unique burdens.
Protecting Students from Creditor Colleges Act (AB 1160)
To protect students in California from the educational barriers and economic harms caused by institutional debt, we are focused on passing AB 1160.
